Section 8 tenants

Stop check request

Anyone requesting a stop payment on a CMHA check must complete and return a Stop Payment Request form. The stop payment request form is available online in PDF format. For (yellow) Section 8 checks, you may fax the completed form to David Gamble at 614 340-4277 or mail it to him at 880 E 11th Ave, Columbus OH 43211-2771.

Section 8 Homeownership Program

The CMHA Board of Commissioners authorized the Section 8 Department to initiate a Section 8 Voucher Homeownership Program. Initially, this program will only be offered to families who are participating in CMHA's Family Self-Sufficiency Program. If the program proves successful, it may be offered to other qualified families. The homeownership program enables a family to use their monthly voucher subsidy to help pay the mortgage. Payment standards
