Jenkins Terrace
100 Units | LIHTC/Senior

Jenkins Terrace is an affordable housing development for elderly residents. Jenkins is located east of downtown Columbus at 1100 East Broad Street between 22nd Street and Ohio Avenue.

The attractive four-story brick building at Jenkins Terrace includes 100-single bedroom units. The property features on-site property management, ample off-street parking, a private library, an exercise room, a computer room with high-speed Internet access, and a large community room.

Jenkins Terrace was named to honor the Rev. Charles F. Jenkins, former pastor of the Second Baptist Church and CMHA commissioner for 26 years. The property was demolished in 2005 and a replacement property was built on-site. Jenkins Terrace opened in 2007. Jenkins Terrace was financed with a combination of Public Housing Replacement Housing Funds and 4% Low Income Housing Tax Credits.

Worley Terrace

Worley Terrace is an affordable housing development built in the Franklinton neighborhood at 99 South Central Avenue. Worley is conveniently located on the west side of downtown Columbus between Broad Street and Town Street.

Worley’s three-story brick building houses 100 single-bedroom elderly units. CMHA provides on-site property management and maintenance services.

The original Worley Terrace development was named to honor former Mayor Henry Worley, who was in office when the complex was completed in 1968. The project was demolished in 2004 and the replacement building was opened in 2008.

Eastmoor Square

Eastmoor Square is an affordable housing development located on the east side of Columbus at 59 Alexander Lane.

Eastmoor consists of 53 spacious two-bedroom units each with central air, washer/dryer hookups, a range, a refrigerator, and a private patio. Eastmoor’s well-manicured grounds include a number of grassy courtyards, a well-equipped playground, and off-street parking. For Eastmoor residents, there is an on-site laundry facility and 24-hour emergency maintenance service.

Eastmoor is conveniently located near the Town & Country shopping center, a Kroger’s grocery store, and several banking institutions. Residents can select from a number of popular restaurants in the area and enjoy easy access to COTA transportation.

Glenview Estates

Glenview Estates is an affordable housing development located in the Greater Northland Area at 4625 Grovedale Court.

Glenview’s 50 units have private entrances, central air conditioning, washer/dryer hook-ups, and cable access. The Glenview community features a large community building and a playground for residents.

Glenview is in the prestigious Westerville City School district. Glenview is located within close proximity to the Easton Towne Center providing residents with a host of shopping and dining options.
Popular retail outlets in the area include Target and Wal-Mart. Glenview is easily accessible from both I-71 and I-270.

Indian Meadows

Indian Meadows is a 72-unit affordable housing development located on the south side of Columbus at 4050 Southpoint Boulevard between High Street and Obetz Road.

The units feature central air conditioning and washer/dryer hookups. Indian Meadows has plenty of off-street parking, a community center, and a playground for residents.

Indian Meadows is just minutes away from the Great Southern Shopping center, a Kroger’s grocery store, a variety of restaurants, and a drive-in movie theater. Indian Meadows is easily accessible from I-270.

Kenmore Square

Kenmore Square is an affordable housing development on the northeast side of Columbus at 1720 Kenmore Road between Joyce Avenue and Cleveland Avenue.

The site features 56 two-bedroom units with large kitchens. CMHA provides on-site management and maintenance staff. All of Kenmore’s units have private entrances, central air conditioning, washer dryer hookups, and cable access. Kenmore’s residents enjoy access to the large community building and the playground.

Kenmore is conveniently located within walking distance to St. Stephens Community House and Joyce
Park. Residents may take advantage of social services provided by St. Stephens Community House including daycare, counseling, and self-sufficiency courses. Joyce Park offers tennis and basketball courts, walking trails and toddler play areas. Kenmore is also located within the Greater Linden area known for its active community development organization, The Greater Linden Development Corporation.

The Meadows

The Meadows is an affordable housing development in Canal Winchester. Located at 4855 Pintail Creek Drive, The Meadows is north of Winchester Pike and west of Gender Road.

The Meadow’s 95 units are nicely placed across an 11-acre site. CMHA provides on-site management and maintenance services for residents. All units have private entrances, wall-to-wall carpeting, central air conditioning, washer/dryer hook-ups, and cable access. Some units include garages. The Meadows amenities include three playground areas and a large community building, which offers on-site daycare, a summer camp, and an after school program.

The Meadow’s excellent location provides easy access to I-70 and State Route 33, which puts the community in close proximity to World Harvest Church, Kroger, and Wal-Mart.

Ohio Townhouses

Ohio Townhouses is an affordable housing development on the northeast side of Columbus at 2775 Brentnell Avenue between Agler Road and Milford Avenue.

The site includes 80 townhouse units on its 7.04 acre site and is managed by CMHA. All units have private entrances, full basements, wall-to-wall carpet, central air conditioning, washer/dryer hook-ups, and cable access.

Ohio Townhouses is located in conveniently located near the Columbus Metropolitan Airport and Easton Towne Center. Easton Towne Center provides Ohio Townhouse residents with a host of shopping options, including Target, Wal-Mart, Nordstrom, and Macy’s.

Post Oak Station

Post Oak is an affordable housing development on the west side of Columbus at 1383 Vida Way just south of the Demorest Road and Clime Road intersection.

All of Post Oak’s units have private entrances, central air conditioning, washer dryer hook-ups and cable access. The Post Oak site features a large community building and two playgrounds. The 15.13-acre site encompasses 148 large bedroom townhouse units. CMHA provides on-site property management and maintenance services.

Rosewind

Rosewind is a 230-unit community blending 160 townhouses with 70 single-family homes. Units are available with up to four bedrooms. CMHA manages the property and provides on-site management and maintenance services. The property is situated in the Greater Linden Area that is well known for its active community organization. Rosewind‘s convenient location also puts it within walking distance of Douglas Recreation Center.

Rosewind was financed with a combination of Hope VI funds and 4% Low Income Housing Tax Credits.

Sawyer Manor

Sawyer Manor is an affordable housing development adjacent to the historic King-Lincoln theater district at 940 Caldwell Place. Its boundaries are Bolivar Avenue (East), St. Clair Avenue (West), Leonard Avenue (North) and Caldwell Place (South).

Sawyer Manor features 116 townhouse units on a generous 14.23-acre site. CMHA provides on-site property management and maintenance services All of Sawyer’s units have private entrances, central air conditioning, washer/dryer hook-ups, and cable access. Site amenities at Sawyer Manor include a large community building and two playgrounds.

Thornwood Commons

Thornwood Commons is an affordable housing development located in north central Columbus at 1110 Olmstead Avenue. Its boundaries are St. Clair (north), Leona Avenue (east) and Shoemaker Avenue (west).

Thornwood features 86 garden and townhouse style units. CMHA provides on-site property management and maintenance services. Thornwood has a spacious community building with a laundry facility, ample on-site parking, and a playground. All units are equipped with private entrances, central air conditioning, washer/dryer hook-ups, and cable access.

Trevitt Heights

Trevitt Heights is an affordable housing development located on the near east side of Columbus south of Leonard Avenue at Trevitt Street. Adjacent to the King-Lincoln Theatre district, Trevitt is in close proximity to The Ohio State University Hospital East and historic Mt. Vernon Avenue.

Trevitt Heights has 137 units comprised of a mix of duplex and single-family homes. CMHA provides on-site property management and maintenance services. Trevitt’s units provide a full list of amenities, including individual driveways, full basements, front and back patios, central air conditioning, and washer/dryer hook-ups.

Trevitt Heights is conveniently located within walking distance from the Neighborhood House, which provides social services, medical care and transportation services. Trevitt Heights is also within walking distance from, the newly constructed, Trevitt Elementary School. Transportation options include convenient access to public transportation on the COTA bus line or easy access to I-670.
