Non-senior single bedroom wait list closed
The Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) has determined that the current non-senior, single bedroom
Public Housing waiting list has a sufficient number of eligible applicants for the next 12 months. CMHA will continue to
accept public housing applications for senior and disabled applicants as well as 2,3,4 and 5 bedroom households.
Pursuant to CMHA and HUD regulations, CMHA has decided to close the Public Housing waiting list for single bedroom applicants 54
years of age or younger, effective November 14, 2008.
No applications will be accepted at CMHA offices after 4:30 p.m. on November 14, 2008.
Applications returned to CMHA by mail must be postmarked no later that November 28, 2008.
Apply in person at CMHA's Central Office
Come to 880 East 11th Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43211. You do not need an appointment to start the application process. Stop
in at our office: our hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. except
holidays.

Initial Tenant Application form

housing. Bring the completed form with you when you come to apply. IMPORTANT: this application form is for
CMHA Public Housing only. The Section 8 wait list is closed. DO NOT USE THE PUBLIC HOUSING FORM TO APPLY FOR THE (SECTION 8) HOUSING
CHOICE VOUCHER PROGRAM.

Forms are available for pick up at CMHA's Central Office if you cannot view them online. We do not mail out application forms.
If you have applied for CMHA housing, don't forget to update your contact information with us. We will need to contact you when
housing becomes available: a current telephone number and address are essential.
