Employment Opportunities
Custodian ($13.31 per hour)
Custodial workers are responsible, under direct supervision, for maintaining
the building and grounds, cleaning out vacant units, and performing other
custodial tasks as required. Typical tasks include, but are not limited to:
sweeping, mopping and waxing floors, washing windows, dusting and emptying trash
receptacles, mowing lawns, sowing grass seed, trimming hedges and shrubbery, and
shoveling snow. Install and disconnect appliances.
All other things being equal and acceptable, applicants who are not current
CMHA employees, but who reside in units operated by CMHA, will be selected for
positions over outside candidates who are non-residents.
Minimum requirements
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Must have two (2) years of experience in general maintenance and custodial
functions.
- Must be able to correctly lift 85lbs.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to operate small equipment such as on-site tractor, pick-up truck,
and electric snake.
- Must have ability to keep accurate records and detailed records.
- Must be able to work in all kinds of weather conditions.
- Valid Ohio Driver's license with good driving record.
