                                                       EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT

 

Vice-President of Asset Management (Job# 18-08-24-10)

         Incumbent is responsible for planning, developing and managing the Authority’s portfolio of properties and services. Guides the alignment of the Authority’s public housing communities with private sector management models, HUD rules and regulations. Considerable initiative and independence are exercised by incumbent in formulating and administering policies and procedures under the general supervision of the Chief Operating Officer. Directs the management of housing operations functions including; the selection and retention of residents, the management, inspection, and modernization of properties, building crafts, oversight of safety and crime initiatives, new construction programs, demolition and relocation of residents. Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with local, state and federal government entities, and the business and financial communities community organizations and citizens. Represents the agency at meetings with state, federal and local officials, and serves as a member of external and internal committees, commissions and task forces. 

 

Requirements

1.         Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration from an accredited college or university. A Masters degree preferred.

 

2.         A Certified Property Management certification (CPM) preferred. 

 

3.         Must have 7 to 10 years management related experience in the public or private housing industry.

 

4.         Extensive supervisory experience in property management, business planning, construction and affordable housing programs including progressively responsible management experience. 

 

5.         Must possess a Valid Drivers License.

 

6.         Must be bondable and insurable by CMHA’s insurance carrier.

 

7.         Must possess excellent computer literacy skills.
