                                                       EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT

 

Assistant Vice-President for Business Development (Job# 17-08-18-10)

         Assists the Senior Vice-President for Business Development in the formulation and implementation of policies, programs and systems for the use of Replacement Housing Factor funds, Capital Grant funds and other CMHA funds designated for the development of affordable housing. Assists in the establishment of goals and objectives for the financing, construction and long-term management of new and acquired developments, including the use of Low-income Housing Tax Credits.  Assists in the coordination of all aspects of project development, including preparation of grant and loan applications, site acquisitions, financing, and preparation of RFQ’s and RFP’s for development services. Prepares applications to HUD for the demolition and disposition of obsolete facilities and excess land. Oversees and coordinates the activities of all parties involved in pre-construction development activities. Monitors federal, state and local housing policies and regulations, and participates in the planning of CMHA’s short and long-term affordable housing strategies.    

 

Requirements

1.         Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.

 

2.         Five years of professional experience in housing/property development, business planning and financing, construction and other affordable housing programs. 

 

3.         Must possess a Valid Drivers License.

 

4.         Must be bondable and insurable by CMHA’s insurance carrier.

 

5.         Must possess excellent computer literacy skills.
